First you need the dummy file creator.

OK the reason for a dummy file is that the disc you create really needs to be "padded out" or the Xbox DVD ROM can struggle to read it correctly. There are three DVD ROM units up to press, the Thomson, The Philips and the Samsung. The Thomson is utter shit. It reads very few CD-RW and Most DVD-R. The Philips is a little better, it reads most CDR-W and almost all DVD-R The Samsung is great, reads some CD-R, almost all CD-RW and pretty much every DVD-R available on the market (we absolutely recommend any DVD-R that has the Ritek Dye - awesome!) A dummy file consists of zero's and you can pick any size you like.



Open up the dummy file creator app.
 



For this tutorial we are going to use a 100MB dummy file.
Enter 100 as shown and then click pick location.
 



For this tutorial we will pick the desktop. Click OK.
 


Now click build.

 


As you can see its pretty quick. Click OK.
 


That's it ! Now here is the size and properties of the newly created dummy file.
