X3 Config Live Skins, to boot from F: Partition

As for the xbox live reasons, i really want to use the config live skins, but i can't cause they ony work from the E: partition. how would i make them work from the F: partition? or even the G: if need be. i want to keep my C: and E: partitions free of everything but the regular xbox data! thanx Bboy

Doesnt matter what you have in C and E. Ive had both C and E full of mod stuff, and have been on live daily since November 9 2004.

well my other xbox just got the boot! and the only reason that i can see is that right after i played some emulators i forgot to delete the files that they automatically put in the e: partition, and i got on live that night and the next day it was booted. Microsoft keeps digging deeper into our buisness (the Xbox that i paid for!) and my friends got booted too cause i took one of my accounts and put it on his box cause he forgot to bring it with. so i have been doin just great until this. which means that the new scans they are doin, involve anything that should not be in there. as for yours, well they just haven't got around to yours yet. but it will happen, you don't have the usual red flags up, but when the system happens to get to your box on the wrong day, it will also scan for anything modded that is on the C: and E: even X Y Z too, then yours will be booted. i am good at hacking, but if there is a way that i can edit where the skins can be placed with the X3 config live please let me know cause, everything was all gravey, until that stupid file was left and i didn't delete it before i went back on live. thanx Bboy

Its not the files on C: or E: that got you booted. Ask anyone on these forums who play live. The only problem that exists is if you replace your hard drive after using live. Even with the new Halo2 update on Monday - still no prob!

and your point is? you do the same thing! plus i have other xbox's that are not modded, and used only for live. so try another way to be a d*%k. thanx but once again the point is not to hear your weak opinions. all i want to know is how to edit. so that my config live will read the skins from the F: partition and not the E:.......... so maybe you should read what the ticket is about cause i have much better things to do than opinionate each other!

You can't yet. I know it sucks for those trying to keep C and E clean, but at this point you just gotta suck it up.

Anyways, like many have said, MS _D_O_E_S___N_O_T_ check the drives for anything yet. Hell, I have the freaking XDK all over my C and E drives, you'd think that the XDK on a non-debug box would be an instant flag that something is up, but I'm still playing Halo 2.

LMAO, So you dont want MS seeing you have hacked stuff on C or E, well the fact you have a bigger HDD CAN be checked.

Also you better make sure you delete any save games that hacked software make on first run, so that's XBMC, EVOX, ah hell every peice of homebrew software there is makes a save on E, again quite easily checked for.
