Hard Drive not detecting after flash ?

Ok im new so please if ive missed the obvious, please just a nudge in the right direction would be greatly received.
Ive flashed the xbox360with benqx8, and have plugged all in, and works. However i cant use the hard drive, it says no storage device found. Do i need to do something to this too?

not at all - sounds very bizarre.

can't say i've come across that one before. did the drive work before the flash ?

have you tried to use a gamepad memory device or a usb stick ?

hopefully others may be able to help - ill also ask around. I edited your topic to be less vague

Edit: quick question - did you have any kind of update when you turned the box on / played a game ?

yeah the hard drive worked before, I havent got a different storrage device, however i will try a different hard drive tomorrow. I suppose you never know. Any help would be much appreciated

And i havent connected to xbox live yet. Thought id see if it worked without first. So no not that i know of, no updates

is your motherboard the JASPER model ?

Does it say unformatted or drive not found ?

Have you tried formatting ?

also did you first test with a game(s) before noticing the hdd problem ?

Ok, right I'm going to open up the again so I will let you know the model of the mother board later.
It's actually saying no storage device, its not seeing it. So I can't format it either.
And it didn't work to start. So I put the game in thinking it might trigger it, but nope.
Very strange.

well my hard drIve isn't working on my mates. And his is working on mine. So I'm guessing pefect timing for it to pack up. Thanks for your help anyway.
Any advice on building a new hard drive or shall I start a new post?
