Thanks for creating that list teajunkie most of taken some time to find all of that out. I noticed my mobo sata was listed there so I can finally but my via in storage and insert a 4 port sata raid card. Do you know if the Intel 82801GB/GR/GH is compatible with the M28 samsung

I've got NVIDIA nForce 430/410 Serial ATA Controller, is this the same thing as NVIDIA nForce 4 SATA Controller?

all id say is try it mate and then report back. as tj said that these should work but the onlyway to know for certain is to plug a 360 drive in and see if its detected. be sure to use the primary sata port though.

hope that helps mate.

I tried flashing my xbox360 from all 4 SATA ports on my NVidia EVGA 132-CK-NF78 2 mother board. Didn't work, incase theres anyone out there with the same mobo. I couldn't get Dos Flash or JungleFlasher to read my BenQ drive.

So I just purchased the VIA VT6421A IDE & SATA RAID PCI Controller Card from the TekGems website for $16.49 USD ...thats including shipping costs. From what I read I should have no problem reading the BenQ with that and it's a good deal.

Plus once I'm done using the VIA card I can use it to hook up an extra internal HDD out of my old computer i don't use anymore through the IDE slot. OR I could also use the cards external eSATA input to get faster transfer speeds with my external Hard drives. Not bad for 17 bux.

Or get that one and actually have it shipped vis US and not take over a week to arrive.

ASUS P5Q (and pro, and deluxe)on board works. Only on IDE if you are running raid, you need a via card.

I have a MSI K9N2 Neo-F motherboard with AMD 770 Chipset and it worked great with any drive using port SATA0 or SATA2 (port 1 and 3). Just wanted to let ppl now.. AMD Chipsets work also! I actually haven't found any onboard SATA not yet working...

Just tested MSI 785GM-E51 board with SB710 southbridge chipset. Tested newest liteon 9345c and works on ALL sata ports flawlessly. Tested read, write, erase, refresh couple of times and works 100% stable.
