Is their alot of multiple reads going on? Would one format god, iso mean less reading of the platters? Thanx guys

EVERYTHING WENT AS PLANNED UNTIL I WROTE XELL-RELOADED TO MY CONSOLE (WHICH AT THE TIME HAD NO JTAG EXPLOIT) I TURN ON THE XBOX TO BE TAUNTED BY A E79 ERROR ]= (THIS HOWEVER HAS NO ERROR CODES) THEN, I JTAGGED IT, (AS YOU SEE IN MY PHOTOS) WHICH, STILL LEFT ME WITH AN E79, I BELIEVE MY SOLDERING COULD BE A BIT MORE NEAT, BUT I ALSO RE-WROTE THE HACKED IMAGE 3 TIMES TO MY XBOX TO ENSURE IT WORKED CORRECTLY.

hey guys, first post here.

im a total noob but I've been scouring the board for tutorials all day now, and i hate asking for help but i was hoping someone could confirm my jf log file before i re-lock my drive. Honestly, im not too optimistic since i've never done a kamikaze hack before, and this chip is so small that there is literally ZERO room for error. Despite all that i think i might have read and written the LT+ 3.0 fw successfully. The drive opens and closes, too. I'm not sure if it reads games because i haven't installed it back into my xbox since i haven't re-locked it yet.

The reason i am a little apprehensive is because the first 2 read attempts after the SPI unlock failed at "Sending sector erase to port 0x9000". JF just didn't respond, then crashed. The third time appeared to work even though i didn't do anything different.

Anyway here is the log:
I noticed it says "Blank 3E000 sector detected!", is that cause for concern?

I only managed to get my Lite-OFW.bin, too. slimkey extract failed so i don't have a Dummy.bin. Is that normal?

I also intro'd/read the drive again after writing so i could load the FW into the source buffer to confirm the write, and it did read LT+ 3.0, so that's good i think

Hi guys,i'm in real need of some help here.My Jtagged my Xenon 360 with when i bought the console, the dashboard was on 2.0.6717.0 (exploitable for sure). i went ahead and removed the R6T3 resistor to prevent any further efuses being blown.I then fitted and soldered all the Nand-X QSB's properly and securely, installed my Nand-X programmer on my computer and then used Coolshrimps Jtag Tool to do all the nand reading and stuff, which all went perfect (i had 1x bad block on 271 of the nand and was informed that it shouldn't be a problem as it's not a bad block near to the beginning of the nand).I needed to update my console to a newer dashboard so i used the latest J-Runner software to update, that seemed to work perfect as well up until a few days ago, when i switched on my machine and was greeted with an E79 error on my tv screen.I've tried booting my console with my HDD disconnected but still get E79.I've gone all over the QSB's solder points and re-tinned them,i've even gone back to trying the switching diodes method and removed the 2x Jtag QSB's.
I can re-write my original Nand image back onto my console and it'll boot back up perfect to the 6717 dashboard but when i even write Xell to my Nand and try to boot via the Eject button.I'm still greeted with an E79 error.Could i write 2.0.7371.0 retail dash using J-Runner and start from scratch building and re-writing my hacked FreeBoot image to dashboard 2.0.14719.0.
I'm proper pulling my hair out over this and any help at all would be truely thankful indeed

read around on the forums ... suggested replacing the STBY_CLK resistor .... measured the other resistors in the strip .... read 30-38 ohms ..... R4B24 didnt register on the multimeter .. so i replaced it with a standard(NOT SMD) 1/4 watt 33 ohm resistor ..... still the console wouldnt boot .... tried alt points aswell on the bottom of the board ... nand doesnt get detected ... console doesnt turn on ..

any ideas ? .. im a bit confused :S
