Status: Online Xecuter 360 Connectivity Kit - INFORMATION
We have now finished the Xbox 360 Connectivity Kit.

It comprises of a 360 ODD Power adapter and HDD adapter.

360 ODD Adapter

This adapter supplies power to your Hitachi or Toshiba-Samsung ODD (Optical Disc Drive) from your PC so you can connect direct to Sata without any fuss. It also has an eject switch and a debug (modeb) switch for Hitachi drives.

The adapter is incredibly convenient and perfect for those who dont want to have the Xbox 360 hooked up to their PC so you dont have to move all your equipment / get behind your TV to unplug your video cables and mess around with that huge power supply if the Xbox 360 is in another room, and it's also for those who want the to use Debug Mode or have the eject option without any other cables. It is especially ideal for those who happen to have a spare Xbox 360 ODD. It's all about CONVENIENCE!

FOR DEBUG MODE MAKE SURE THE EJECT BUTTON IS UP AND THE LED IS RED

ALSO MAKE SURE YOU PLUG ALL CONNECTIONS IN THE CORRECT WAY AROUND - THERE ARE INDICATORS OF THIS ON EVERY CABLE, ALSO MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT SHORT THE PCB AGINST ANYTHING - THIS IS ELECTRICITY GUYS USE COMMON SENSE - IF YOU DO NOT DO THINGS CORRECTLY YOU WILL KILL THE XBOX ODD AND/OR PC

FOR MODEB TO WORK YOUR SATA MUST RECOGNIZE THE DRIVE CORRECTLY - IF IT DOES NOT OF COURSE IT WILL NOT RECOGNIZE IN WINDOWS

360 HDD Adapter
This adapter enables you to connect your Xbox 360 Sata Hard Drive via SATA cable to your PC without any fuss. It is a clean and tested design with no frills, perfect for the 360 enthusiast. We also suppluy an optional power power connection via a USB cable (not for data transfer).

This complete kit will be available to buy in June from Xecuter stockists. Resellers tell us that they are setting the RRP at $29.95 for the complete kit, not bad considering other versions of HDD Adapter alone has been on sale for $20+.

We are also in the process of developing an Advanced Dual Firmware Kit (beware of cheap imitations floating around - nasty quality and featureless), ODD to USB Convertor, ODD to IDE Convertor and a 360 Dissasembly Kit which will make it a breeze to take your case apart (those clips on the rear are a pain in the ass arent they?)

**Debug (modeb) explained - This is a function where the Hitachi drive switches itself into a state where it can be recognized in Windows so you can read/write firmware IN WINDOWS. You cannot extract SS.bin or any other stuff you will need a special firmware for that.

Debug mode doesn't work with Toshiba-Samsung Drives - you simply have to flash the Xtreme 0800 Firmware.

When is this going to be useful for the majority of Xbox users though? It's great the Samsung firmware is out, and this is a probable solution, but what of the Hitachi users? Also, $30 is fair in my opinion but not as cheap as I think TX made it out to be...it makes me wonder what the USB and dual firmware boots will cost?

So in your expert opion then mate its wrong for me to run my legally owned backups and also wrong the fact that I will be able to run unassigned code via a dvd for home brew apps. IMHO $30 is more than a fair price by a long way.
As for the samsung/Hitachi issue Its only firmware we are waiting on, this kit will connect to an hitachi drive as the main connectors are the same on both drives arent they?? The hitachi point will be sorted trust me.
I think people should stop critising and lay praise where praise is due here Team Xecutor have done a brilliant job in getting these out so quickly, and I happen to trust their judgement I have 2 xecutor chips in both my old xboxes and have never had any quarms to complain about excellent workmanship.

Have there been any advances in how to use this adapter with a PCMIA card? I only own a laptop, but I'd be glad to buy a SATA card if I know for sure this adapter can work with it...

We do not set the prices - the resellers do - that decision is out of our hands. And who says it doesnt work for both drives? Of course it does !

I find this quote very interesting "i would pay $15 for the kit but $30 is asking way too much for something that doesnt help you run homebrew but helps pirates steal easier" so in one breath you are saying you are a pirate then in the second breath getting on your anti piracy soapbox. funny stuff.

Again we dont set the prices - and when you see the HDD adapter for sale at other sites for $20 - this is a good deal for the complete kit. You don't have to buy it of course - we are making no where near as much profit as the resellers do - but if they dont make profit they dont sell and then you have no where to buy from. Economics and all that.

And why can't Hitachi users have this adapter? of course they can - however a hacked firmware isn't up to us that's someone elses job - we are out of the loop with any kind of hacking for the 360. We are concerned with making legal only adapters and convertors.

We said it would be a price that wouldn't break the bank - are you suggesting that $29.95 breaks the bank ?

We don't force anyone to buy anything so if you think it's too expensive or not useful enough for you - just don't buy it -i dont see the problem ?

Hey TX,
I will still buy your product, guaranteed. There's absolutely no problem with that - since I've been a big fan of TX for a few years now.
I do in fact have a USB port (surprise) but with all of the nonsense going around on the BBS's it's been hard to get a straight answer - I use my laptop for business, not so much in the way of gaming, and I didn't know the proper method to use a laptop and be able to connect anything SATA - any tips?
