We have uploaded the first of our many new tutorials. We thought we'd start off with the most talked about one - the Hitachi 078fk firmware update.

As you can see we have made it as comprehensive and noob-friendly as possible.

Quick question for you. I know you mention SATA motherboards. If I am running a laptop, would a pcmci card with a sata connection work. For example, the one on the link:

Hi i have a 0078fk. im about to receive the blaster 360 in a couple of days and right now im preparing and getting all the tools that i need. The last thing i need is specifically max fw 1.6 that i cannot find anywhere. can someone pm me? thanks!

Where anywhere in the tutorial does it say anything about "max fw 1.6" ??

absolutley everything you need including downloads required is in this tutorial i'm really confused why are you are asking for something not required at all.

I haven't seen anyone have much success with pcmcia sata cards. I've never tested anything like that myself - you would need to ask around on here and on xbox-scene / xboxhacker forums

And where does it hook up to on the Blaster if that is what you are talking about, & where does the other end hook up to?

2) You also said that when connecting power to the Blaster360 make sure the Xbox360 power supply is NOT connected to the Xbox!

Does that mean never have the 360 plugged or just when connecting power to the Blaster?

3) Is Maximus-Garyopa Xtreme OPA Hitachi Firmware 2.3 just as good as Maximus 360 Firmware Toolbox v3.0?

If you have a sammy drive, follow the sammy tutorials. If you have an hitachi drive, follow the instructions for hitachi drives. They are different.

Cant wait to get my hands on one, does the blaster 360 only work with Hitachi drives at the minute then like the USB tool?

The blaster360 will work on all of the xbox dvd drives.
