This kit is very simple yet effective when you need to fix a RROD fault.
The #1 cause is the motherboard warps when overheating, so the solder joints break with the memory modules. What we have made is a specially formulated heatpad with a high K value and cut to a precise shape and thickness so that once fitted the memory chips should "fix" themselves without causing any damage. First dissasemble the Xbox 360 (Click here for tutorial) Then simply remove the motherboard from the 360 and turn it over. You will see 4 pink rubber pads - remove those and replace with the pads in the RROD kit. Screw the Xbox back together and power the Xbox on. Keep it powered on for upto 60 minutes then power off and next power up you should see the healthy green lights. If not repeat. There are thousands of success stories all around the net - but remember it doesn't fix ALL RROD's just most of them. Good Luck ! PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING ON THESE FORUMS

Re: Tutorial
Just recieved this today, will try it at the weekend and post the results. One thing though... im sure my memory chips didnt have any pads on at all, I had the board out replacing the X clamps with bolts ( which worked for awhile) and thought it was odd there was nothing on them to aid cooling.

Re: Tutorial
my rrod pads dont seem to be sticking at all, i took the sticky back off but then never stick to the motherboard.
I carefully placed them on the chips and slowly slided the motherboard back so there where in place, waited over 20mins after rrod and nothing, still havn't stuck there. What am i doing wrong? thanks for the help

Re: Tutorial
my pads weren't sticky either so I just put a dab of super glue in the center of the pads then I rubbed the super glue all over the chip using the pad then set it were I want it to be and it works fine. but remember that this only fixes one type of RROD there are still 1 other type of RROD the GPU having a weak solder joint, I went all out X clamp fix, Reheated the chips, then these thermal pads the 360 will last forever.

Re: Tutorial
Hi. I've got a problem with the kit: once I replace the pads with the new ones, the board doesn't fit into the case (you couldn't be able to plug the controllers into the hubs, that area is a bit lifted). What's up?
Thanks!

Re: Tutorial
Its not the pads you just forgot to align the guide pegs on the motherboard into the holes in the metal box.
