Lite On 74850c Will not eject
Ok, I have been searching and reading and have not found exactly what I have needed. I just got a new CK3 Pro with the probe, I have a 74850c that has 1.5 already flashed on it, and widows 7 64 bit on board Intel sata port with all cd and dvd's unplugged. I hooked it up paying special attention to the power cable and making sure that it was plugged in correctly. I plug it all in and turn on the ck3. I have a blue light when turned on and then I press the eject button and nothing happens. Could it be that I have a falutly CK3. I contacted the company I bought it from and they said that if I send it back and it turns out that it is ok then there will be a $15-$25 testing fee and that over 95% of the products they get back are fine. Also, one more thing I put the drive back in the xbox and everything works fine. Is there anything that I can be missing or something that I can try as a test before I go through sending this all the way back? I would love any ideas that anyone has.
Thank you

Check you have pushed the power cable all the way in.
Check to see if the drive makes any noise when you power it on. If it's still not ejecting then send it back could be faulty eject switch. (test by wiggling it gently from side to side)

Re: Lite On 74850c Will not eject
I am sure that all cables are plugged in fully, have looked them over at least 30 times but will look again. I will try to wiggle the eject button when I get home. Since this has never worked can someone tell me what position the switch is in when ejected... up or down or does it change depending on what state the drive is in? If the eject button is bad, would that lead you to believe that I can still use the board just doing a manual eject though. I can not say if I have really heard any noises coming from the drive but I will also try to listen to that a little more closely. Should it make a noise just by applying power to it.

Re: Lite On 74850c Will not eject
I wanted to thank you for your help. I think that the eject button is bad (my guess anyways) I manually ejected it and it was seen in bios and it was seen in windows. The problem is that when I would try to to start JF, Jungle flasher would never come up. My guess from reading is that it is the onboard serial controller that I am trying to use, but I dont know that for sure. Oh, one other thing, the drive would only show up in windows if I booted the computer with the drive in the half open position. Does that sound right? My onboard controller is a Intel ICH10R and the drive is a liteon. Now I dont have a avaliable PCI slot on this computer just PCIE, should I get a PCI card and install it in my old computer? Does all of my ideas sound correct thinking that since it is seen in windows that everything is ok except the eject button?
Thanks in advance.
