I just purchased the ck3 probe v2 and the ck3 lite. I connect up the ck3 lite to PC power, ribbon cable to the probe and drive and the drive to my SATA on PC. when I turn the switch on the ck3 lite, I get a blue light that flahshes once and the probe lights also flash just once. Nothin after that, JF doesnt see my drive. I assume the light should stay on correct? What am I doing wrong? I am trying to flash a liteon 7480c.

Can this be related to not using a true serial port but using a serial-usb cable????

We I just tried to put my drive back into the xbox to see if it could still play games but now it doesnt eject the tray and the console tells me to close the tray. This drive was flashed once awhile back and I was planning on going to lt1.1 with it.

Any ideas?

i wouldnt personally use a serial to usb. you should have got the pro as modmonster said. try unplugging the serial to usb and hooking the drive without it, it should still detect the drive but you wont be able to dump the key. itll test if its the serial to usb.

worth a try mate and what sata are you using?

why use the probe if its preflashed. all you need to do is hook the drive up without the serial cable and use dummy from iextreme.

So once it is flashed you dont need to probe it at all? I dont have the original keys since I got this xbox already flashed. Even without the serial connnection the light only flashes blue once. as stated above, now the console thinks the drive is open:

I was able to flahs my BenQ with the same PC running SATa and JF but I used the 360 extractor that time. I wish I would have realixed the ck3 pro was a better fit but live and learn.

by the sounds of it something is shorting. have you taken the drive apart at all?
if youd actually read the jf tut youd know that preflashed liteons cant be probed. all you need is the power from the ck3 and the sata. its that simple. you are plugging the power in the correct way? connect just the sata and power to the drive and power it on, does the ck3 work?
